As the Toronto City Councillor for Ward 1, I am proud to represent all of the residents and businesses of north Etobicoke to ensure your voice is heard at City Hall.

Etobicoke North is composed of diverse communities from all over the world.  The area is characterized by a fusion of culture, cuisine, values and traditions unique to the City.  I have always encouraged other Torontonians to visit our community to fully appreciate what it has to offer.  Media headlines about north Etobicoke can create an unfair stereotype. I have lived most of my life in this beautiful part of the northwest corner of the City and know it is a great place to live, work and play.

As a City Councillor, I am proud to have brought major upgrades to our local public places and parks.  The Albion Islington Square Business Improvement Area and Parks upgrades have instilled a new sense of security and pride in the area.  Residents know that greater ownership of public spaces leads to a safer community. 

As we look into the future, we will work to obtain a new community hub serving seniors, adults and youth in the former Father Henry Carr School, new employment and tourism spin-offs with the expansion of Woodbine Entertainment , enhanced bus service and the development of  the Etobicoke Finch light rapid transit line.
